About the Workshop

I started the art workshop when I was in college, as a way to bring the art I was learning about to the young kids in my hometown. It ran for a few years and then enrollment fell. It got a second life in 2016 and has been going strong ever since. Each year I try and offer new art projects to engage my students and encourage their creativity. I am so pleased to be able to offer this to young artists again this summer. I can't wait to see what the kids can create!

The Summer Art workshop is geared towards elementary/middle school age kids (5+). The program is intended to provide a summer activity, where the kids can come together, socialize, learn new ways of creating art and actively work on exciting new projects. Participants sometimes come with friends, but also come and make new ones. The kids are engaged in fully hands-on art activities. Each summer brings new art lessons, new experiences and new memories!
